buildingSMART International Summit 2019
The buildingSMART International Summit 2019 took place from the 25th to the 28th of March 2019 in Düsseldorf. The extensive program for the standardisation of BIM topics was additionally extended by the international framework program “BIM at its Best!”. One of the sessions was moderated by Tobias Rahm, who, in his function as speaker of the buildingSMART regional group Rhein-Ruhr, is promoting the local networking of BIM-interested parties and actors.
The model-based planning, constructing and operating will influence and change the handling of projects past and present. ZPP is actively shaping this change, at the same time being involved in buildingSMART in order to promote the BIM working methodology in Germany as well.
In the course of buildingSMART, a technical standardisation is pursued, which is to be converted into guidelines and recommendations. In order to promote the distribution of the BIM methodology in the Land of North Rhine-Westphalia, ZPP is also active in the BIM Cluster NRW, through Joachim Meyer (ZPP Management Board).
