Launch of the biogas plant Paffendorf
On 28/06/2016 the modern biogas plant in Bergheim-Paffendorf was jointly put into operation by RWE and NRW (North Rhine-Westphalia) Environment Minister Johannes Remmel.
Climate friendly energy is produced on the basis of renewable resources with a mix of sugar beets, grass and corn silage. The produced raw biogas is processed to natural gas quality and then fed into the local gas grid. The plant is designed for a production of every hour up to 700 cubic meters of biogas. This can contribute to the supply of about 3.300 households or the CO2 – neutral generation of electricity.
ZPP (verification engineer Dr.-Ing. Dieter Lehnen) is commissioned with the structural inspection for all structures of the entire plant and the inspection and acceptance in accordance with the water regulation.
