ZPP publication in VGB Powertech addressing BIM

In the current issue 08 / 2016 of VGB PowerTech, the authors Tobias Rahm M.Sc., Dr.-Ing. Felix Nagel and Dipl.-Ing. Joachim Meyer present the article titled „BIM (Building Information Modeling) – Digitalisation in the construction industry“.

The article addresses theoretical groundwork of the BIM methodology. Additionally, pilot projects from the infrastructure sector are described and similarities to power plant constructions are highlighted. Hereupon, potential applications of the BIM methodology and advantages for operating owners are discussed.
