Project and structural planning for the expansion of the workshop building

The possibility for restructuralisation and modernisation presented itself for the existing, three-aisled workshop building (build year 1976, extension in the mid- / late 1980s) due to the fact that right now, two of the workshop areas are transferred to the power plant area. The working conditions for the remaining workshop areas are supposed to be optimised for the future use, while the situation has to be adjusted in regard to the altered requirements. For this reason, an evaluation of the condition of the construction, as well as the technical equipment, was mandatory.

ZPP was commissioned with the complete administration, starting with the inventory and the spatial concept, resulting from the assessment of demand, all the way through to the construction documentation and the support of the execution for the project planning, structural planning and technical building equipment.

The option with frontage-embedded office containers was planned and executed as the optimal solution for the positioning of the workshop offices. This possibility offers the great advantage of not losing precious workshop surface, while still having the offices adjacent to the several workshop areas.

ZPP rendered services according to HOAI (Official Scale of Fees for Services by Architects and Engineers) belonging to the field of project planning in section 1 - interiors of buildings and specialist planning in section 2 - technical equipment, both including service phases 1 to 9 (basic evaluation, pre-planning, draft planning, approval planning, execution planning, preparation of the contract awarding, participating in the contract awarding process, project monitoring – construction supervision and documentation, project supervision/support). Also to the field of specialist planning in section 1 - structural planning with the service phases 1 to 6 (basic evaluation, pre-planning, draft planning, approval planning, execution planning, preparation of the contract awarding).
