Project and structural planning for the reinstatement of the ceramic curtain wall
The facade of a 7-storey administrative building for the RWE Service GmbH consists of a curtain wall made of ceramic slabs. Ceramic slabs have also been implemented at the bottom of the overhanging first floor.
Due to the danger of accidents through a loosened ceramic slab, the existing facade was inspected for the sake of adherence of the structural stability.
After the development of a statement concerning the structural stability, as well as a safeguarding concept, ZPP was commissioned with a reinstatement concept. Here, both the technical planning, a cost estimate and the technical implementation were conceptualised.
Subsequently, the complete reinstatement of the facade ensued.
