As-built modelling of hall 7

At the IMERYS site in Oberhausen, the packaging installation in hall 7 is to be upgraded and extended. This necessitates actions on existing components at various locations. In order to keep the resulting downtime of the production process as low as possible, a solid planning of the measure is aimed at, which is based on a high-quality situation analysis. Therefore, the entire production hall including all installations was surveyed using laser scanning.

ZPP has generated a 3D inventory model from the processed point clouds, which can be used for the further planning phases. A distinction was made between construction technology (hall construction) and systems engineering in the sense of specialist models.

During the construction of the building model structural tasks were considered in later planning phases. The modelling of the systems engineering was carried out in two detailing stages. In the area of packaging components, a high level of detail was implemented in order to ideally support the planning process. The remaining areas of production installations were realised in a lower level of detail, so that the planning of the logistics processes for the reconstruction measure and the subsequent operation was made equally possible. The created 3D models were transferred in various formats so that they can be used in subsequent planning phases. 2D lay-out plans were also created.
